Krystal Convertible Bag Printed Paper Pattern
You will receive a printed version of this pattern with full pattern pieces, detailed pictures, and step by step instructions on how to make your own Krystal convertible bag. It will come in a resealable plastic bag and convenient hanging hole. There is even a full-length how-to video on Linds Handmade Designs YouTube channel, showing you how to make this bag from start to finish if you need any additional support.
Skill Level: This pattern is for the advanced bag maker as it requires rivets and a setting tool, (or Chicago screws) to add the d ring connectors to the bag at the end. As written, this pattern can be made on most domestic machines. We’ve included dozens of pictures to accompany each step, as well full pattern pieces.
Finished Dimensions: Finished bag is approximately 11” wide along the bottom oval base and 14" across the top. It is by 12” tall by 6” deep. It has 1 exterior slip pocket as well as a zipper pocket, 2 interior slip pockets on one side, and 1 interior zipper pocket on the opposite side.
Materials and supplies needed:
• ½ yard main fabric
• ½ yard lining fabric
• ⅓ yard leather/cork/vinyl (plus length for straps if not using webbing)
• ½ yard fusible fleece*
• ¼ yard Peltex 71F
• 1 yard of 45” woven interfacing*
• 2½ yards 1” webbing (if not using leather/cork/vinyl for straps)
• (1) 13” #5 zipper by the yard (or 14” bag zipper)
• (1) 9” #5 zipper by the yard (or 8” bag zipper)
• (1) 8” #5 zipper by the yard (or 7” bag zipper)
• (3) #5 zipper pulls (if using zipper by the yard)
• (4) 1” D rings or rectangle rings
• (4) 10mm double cap rivets or Chicago screws
• (10-12) 6mm or 8mm double cap rivets (*optional)
• Leather edge paint & applicator or Aleene’s Fabric Fusion™ (*optional)
• 5/32” leather hole punch or rotary punch
• ⅛”-¼” Double-sided tape
• Wonder clips or metal hair clips
• Leather glue & applicator or Beacon Fabri-Tac™
• Quilting ruler
• Rotary cutter

When will you ship my order?
We aim to dispatch your order within 2-4 business days. We dispatch orders on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. During sales and busy times it can take up to 6 business days for your order to leave us. Should you need your order quickly please contact us.
Why is shipping so high for vinyl?
All our vinyls, jelly and TPU are shipped rolled, and sent via tracked courier.
Do you offer international shipping?
At the moment we are only ship in the UK. You are responsible for paying any import taxes or fees due for shipments into your country. Import fees, taxes and handling fees from the delivery company are NOT included in our delivery costs. You are responsible for checking the import rules for your country before placing an order.
Why don't you ship to my country?
If your country doesn't show in the shipping options at checkout please contact us using the contact page and we may be able to provide a shipping quote.
Are the vinyls, jelly and TPU domestic machine friendly?
On each listing we provide how thick these vinyls approximately will be. They can work on most domestic machines, with the correct feet we recommend a teflon or walking foot on your sewing machine. You may need to adjust your tension on the machine. We also recommend using a bulky seam aid / hump jumper which we sell here
Canvas Cotton-Linen Fabrics
Fabrics which are woven from natural fibres have characteristics and other irregularities in the yarns which are features and not therefore treated as weaving faults.
Custom Printed Bases:
We use a combination of stock images from manufacturers and our own photographs. We have tried our best to represent the colours as accurately as possible. However, we can't guarantee an exact match to the fabrics shown as colours vary on different screens and devices. Therefore fabrics may look different upon arrival. When ordering custom printed fabric, please understand it could vary slightly on different fabric bases vs digital images.
Packaging
We try to use eco friendly mail bags and cardboard boxes. The packaging we use to post your orders is mostly fully recyclable or compostable and we encourage you reuse the packaging your Little Stitcher Sews order arrives in.
